More Power, Damn You!

Short version: Belkin sucks.

Long version: Most uninterruptible power supplies, when they fail or are near failing, will alert you with a persistent, annoying beep; or at worst, by simply shutting down.

I consider it bad form for a UPS to signal its impending demise by getting very hot, emitting an acrid odor, and making a low, uneven whistle-y sound. And yet, it does.
